Students registering in January may be eligible for discounted membership fees and pro-rated Group Class and Rental Accommodation fees. However, teacher availability will be limited.
Application Deadlines: Families and individuals are required to submit an application for financial support each year, at the April 1st deadline for the following summer and by August 31 deadline for the school year term. The OSA committee will look at the Bursary funds available each year, and will prioritize multi-year commitments before expanding the of bursaries awarded.
Please note that this policy applies to OSA administered group classes only. Group classes arranged and administered by an individual teacher may have different refund policies.
Financial Need: Family applicants need to demonstrate that they are able to arrange for their child ren to receive private lessons either paid or donated lessonsbut budy not financially able to also support other costs associated with their musical instrument: OSA membership fees, group classes, and summer camp. This will be taken into consideration.
This is an expanded level of commitment: all OSA members are expected to volunteer at 2 events, per year.

If you or your association would like to become a donor, please go to the Oakville Community Foundation website and from the dropdown list under "Apply your donation to a specific Fund set up by this Charity" kindly choose the Oakville Fo Association Bursary Fund. Teacher Bursaries Bursaries are awarded to teachers on a first come, first served basis, where each teacher can apply one time, every two years. We provide comprehensive music education, including private lessons, group lessons, music theory and performance opportunities.
